The Right Time & Place
I have drove past this field of flowers countless times on my way to and from Missoula, MT.
Every time I passed it, I had wished that I had someone with me to model for me, so I would just keep driving. This time when I was passing, said flower field, I saw two girls were stopped taking phone photos of each other in the flowers.
This (even for an introvert like myself) was too amazing of an opportunity to pass up. So I turned around and pulled over.
With my camera always in my passenger seat, I grabbed it and ran across a four lane high way, not my best idea.
I must have looked crazy.
I walked up to the two girls, told them I was a professional photographer & an instructor at a photography school, and that I was wondering if I could take their photos with my camera.
They were so nice and said yes! One even said, "This is just like those tiktok videos you see of photographers asking strangers to take their photos"
I am so happy that I gained the courage to ask them, there seriously are still some amazing people in this world.
